There are billions upon billions of stars and countless other objects in the universe, none of them exactly alike. All of these are studied under the domain of Astronomy. There is so much to learn and so much to discover that even a thousand years are not enough. Yet, we have discovered many remarkable objects and their secrets. We know roughly about what galaxies are made of and how they evolve. Astronomy is exciting!
Every month, we would share a bunch of articles/videos etc. that have been the highlights in the world of Astronomy that month. Here are this month’s:
Adventures of an Asteroid Hunter
Dinosaurs had a bad day (really bad) some 65 million years ago, all because of an asteroid. In this fascinating talk, Carrie Nugent discusses asteroids and why it is important to keep track of 14,000+ of them (link here).
Be Like Daphnis
Daphnis is a small moon of Saturn that has made waves (literally) lately. If small Daphnis can do that, so can you!(link here)
